Default Cleaning up factory engine/accessory wiring project

Hey guys

I'll be doing this on my 2001 silvy, it has the big 3 upgrade along with a blackbear e-fan harness.. Everything else is stock and has wire loom cluttered up everywhere.. I'm gonna try to tackle this project with in the next few days and i'll do alittle as i go. I'll try to post pics of my setup tomorrow so ill have some decent before/after pics.. If anybody else has cleaned up the wiring with it still on the truck then chime in, i'll take all the help i can get.. I'll be starting with my e-fan harness and the battery/PCM area first.

Thanks guys, Jonathon

I bought an engine harness after being inspired by grippy

After sourcing all the correct colored/size automotive wiring for splice/extensions I gave it a stab and found out that if I want to do it right my truck is going to be down for a couple of days.

So, it hangs on the water heater overflow pipe until I can get more time

Man that looks like a mess or wires.. this is probly one of those projects about half way into it you fully regret ever starting it

But what the heck ill give it a stab, ill try to post some pics up tomorrow of what im starting with.

Ok so after several failed attemps to download the pics from my phone to the computer i just gave up..

I did get the e fan harness back installed on the truck and drove it some, i havent heard the fans kick on yet so i hope i didnt screw anything up.. Also where have yall mounted the relays at? I dont like where i have it but in order for me to move it i think i'm going to have to lengthen the wires up some.

Also, are the red and black covers on the battery cables neccesary? Next i think i want to do away with the buly ground/positive cables and run my own, i think im gonna get rid of the big ground from the battery to the engine and move it somewhere else.

Another thing i'm gonna work on it my power steering lines, I want to completely re-run them with some black braided lines.. Who makes some lines that will withstand power steering fluid? And what types of fittings/connectors do you think i'll need?

Thanks guys
