Got everything buttoned up and the truck is running. has a nice smooth idle. Only hiccup was when I went to swap out the tstat, it was a two piece tstat and I had a one piece so it didn't fit. started looking at the old tstat and it was a 186* so I may just keep that one and get a retune since this tune is set up for a 160*.
Also, I need some opinions. The way I had my intake set up was a 4" 90* elbow and a 4" pipe to the MAF. I had to flip the upper radiator hose to get it to work. Now with the 90mm tb the hose is pinched between the intake tube and the tb. I could go back to my old K&N set up but that setup sucks lol. what are my options

I didn't do the heads and cam first because I haven't bought my torque converter yet. I decided to buy a daily driver instead lol. Next I'll install the tc, then the heads and cam.
Trying to swap out the tstat I lost a lot of coolant so I haven't been able to really get on it. But from my initial test it pulls a lot more from 4k up. Going to the track tomorrow night and we'll see how it does.

Got the coolant changed and took it for a test drive. Man this thing PULLS form 4k up. I had to go back to my old K&N set up for now. Still looking for ways to make the 4" work. Here are some pics of my progress.
Here is the breather tube that goes to the valve cover. Eventually I will install a catch can there. I used a 3/8 brass barb. the blue stuff is gasket maker to seal the hole
I used the vette fuel filter to convert the returnless fuel rail to return. Fuel pressure is steady 58-60.
and here is the egr delete that I made out of 1/8" aluminum. Works great.
