Any luck finding a truck for the transplant? Are you going to build the 4l60 or go 4l80?

yeah it is hard to believe its the same motor! and as far as a truck not yet. some parts have been ordered and are here but come a couple of weeks and i can really start getting the build up off the ground. i should have the truck in a few months once the motor is done. but as far as trans im going to go with a built 80

okay so update on the build. I recently got a new job and its been taking away from focusing on the build but it has netted me some good funds to buy stuff so I did exactly that. I decided to ditch the 76 route and go 80 so I pulled the trigger on a Trick T6 manifold. I already have a set of sweet valve covers that i bought and theres an oil pan on its way as well. Ill post pics of the valve covers a little later.

on last thing, if anyone can give me some insight on pistons because the next thing on the list to order is pistons and rods. Im not sure on what many of the specs mean and I figured id ask in here before making another thread.

Thanks.

okay so i also got my manifold in the mail and thats the reason for the delay on valve cover pics but i think it was worth the wait. before i go on and say anything else i just want to say im extremely happy with the trick performance manifold. this thing is sweet and its a nice beefy unit. but next thing is i am planning on picking a truck up within the next couple of months. i dont want to get too far ahead on the motor and then be kicking myself in the *** when i have a sweet motor sitting on a stand and nothing to put it in. but heres the pics
