I'm ready to tune my truck now but I like to buy the tuning software and also a tune to go with it. I don't know if that's how it works though? can you guys point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I use HP Tuners and love the software. If i'm reading your question correctly, then no, you can't buy a tune with the software. You can pay a tuner to tune your truck and then use the tuning software to make teaks here and there. That is a good way to do it for someone learning how to tune.

basically I like the ability to do to change saying I need to as I can change things on my truck. so my question is do I buy the HP Tuners by itself and then call a tuner up and ask for a tune or do I buy the tuning software in the tune from 1 tuner all in 1 place?

Depends on if the tuner sells the software..

Not all tuners are dealers for HP Tuners/EFI Live. Contact who you want to do a base tune and ask. If they sell the software, you might be able to get a bundle deal.

I don't remember what your mods are, but if you are basically stock, don't bother buying a tune from someone. Just dig into the stock file yourself.
