I'm not disagreeing with your build just curious.
I don't like the 14 bolts. When the 10 breaks I'll be going with a 9". Also I doubt it would have been any cheaper. Same amount of fab work/supplies, same freshen up on the rearend (gears/posi), just this way I don't have to mess with finding a 14 bolt that fits with brakes and....not to mention having to buy the 14 bolt.

I agree with you though on dumping the cash and still having a 10 bolt. Seems kindof dumb, but like I said the rearend/suspension I want is not in the budget right now and the build was fun.

Awesome work for only having an hour of stick time... the weld patterns look good, I would have added more material in a few places, but I am sure it will hold like a tank.

Kick *** for doing it yourself too!

Just a quick update, I got the bogarts ordered this week. I have not seen a set like these on this site yet , so I think yall will like them. Should be here in about two weeks.

Tomorrow I'm going to the alignment shop to get the frontend done. Then over to my dad's (has lift in garage) to finalize the pinion angle setting. From the looks of it I think I'm going to have to shim the trans up some.

I need to order some tires and I have a question? Do yall think a 26" tall tire will look dumb in the front with a 29.5" tall on the back? Or, should I go with a 27" or 28" tall? The reason why I'm asking is because I really like these http://www.mandhtires.com/store.php?...on=show_detail
but they only make them in a 26" tall.

I guess I could run a 28" tall slick and a 26" tall in the front to keep it from looking dumb. I don't know I'm starting to ramble.

run the 26 in the front with the 28 in the rear IMO it will have alittle rake but i think it looks cool. do they make a 27 slick? what size rim you runnin 15 or 16?

15x4.75 fronts and 15x10 rears.

I can't go with anything shorter than 28" in the rear especially with the 4.56 gear. I calculate that top speed in high gear with a 28" will be about 127mph, but thats with zero trans/converter slippage. So even with a 28" I'm right on the limit until I change to 4.10 gears. Not to mention it probably wouldn't hook with less than a 28" rear.
