Looking awesome Corey. I think I'm going to have to copy you with the valve covers.

Looks good! Wish I had that much room for mufflers. Not a fan of the push in oil fill cap/plug. My first one blew out on the highway at WOT.

Yeah i read about the oil cap issue with the proform covers. GM makes a better one with a lip that keeps it in place better. The proform cap is smooth. I have the gm cap on mine.

My GM have no lip. Read on the Corvette forum that Proform added a lip to theirs.

Read the reviews on summit. They talk about the lip.

Purchased my GMPP set a while back. My spares from Summit could be Proform. Purchased them 2-3 years ago. Didn't see any difference. Maybe both Summit and GM have a newer design. Maybe they are actually one in the same?? Pics of my current cap below.

if you're blowing the oil cap, consider a vacuum pump on the crank case, or running a vent from the crank case to the exhaust to create vacuum on the crank case. The good news is most people report additional ET on the track when putting the crank case under vacuum. something about helping seat the rings.

Back when I was running my Iron bored 5.3 and the d1sc, mine would actually push the dipstick out. My oil filler cap was thread on so the dipstick was the next easiest place. At the time I was just running some small 3/8 fuel line off of each valve cover to a breather can that had tiny inlets welded in. Once I upsized that **** properly the problem went away. Just an fyi, but like posted above, anything that can pull a vacuum on the crankcase is always better than just venting.
