That is the second failure of a LS7 lifter From somebody I know personally just in the last month.

I got 70k out of them. No part last forever. Probably should not have gone with the big lift cam. I would not say they are trash tons of people use them. They definitely are not the best either. I just think they have a shelf life and need to be exchanged probably every 50k or so.

I havent pulled the cam yet. I wont being going back in the motor.

New cam specs are:

222/234 113+3 .587/.578

Cam motion premimum core.

By any chance did you look at the oil before pulling it down?

I just changed the oil the day i stopped driving but i still had the old filter. I cut it open and it was metal free.

So the truck is all apart. Cam is out. A couple of lobes had some markings on them.


The heads are off getting a valve job, new springs and cnc porting.

I am gonna start ordering parts in the next couple of days and i have to clean alot of parts so that is next.

Busy busy.
