Well i drove the truck today. The gears make zero noise which is great. The truck pulls more vacuum cruising down the highway which is great.

Now on to the bad.

I have to replace the AC belt tensioner because it makes a squeak.
Also for some reason the firewall or dash make some kinda awful noise. Almost like it is vibrating against something. It only does it when RPMs are low but under a heavy load like when in 4th going up a hill. It is really annoying. I gotta figure that out.

I figured out the noise. It is the fuel lines... The hose ends with these PTFE lines are a double swivel. When the hose moves slightly the swivel tilts which pulses with the pump.. Temporarily i got them zip tied so they don't move. I am gonna make a bracket to hold them in place.

Problem of the day. Apparently the Power Steering pump i bought is a pile of ****. It works sometimes... So i am gonna order an ACDelco one...

Tuning is going rather well. I still don't have the METh hooked up so i am keeping it under 5psi. The truck feels real strong with the new gears.

hopefully i can get the meth controller wired up and work out the rest of the bugs in the next few weeks...

I talked with a buddy. He thinks i may have air trapped in the pump/lines because it works sometimes. I am going to get a power steering bleeder. Hopefully that is the issue.

Do it the old fashion way.

Just jack the front end up and turn the wheels lock to lock like 15 times slowly. Then let it sit for a minute or two and do it 5-10 more times. Start the truck and shut it off after a second or two to get the fluid moving and do the whole thing again and that should get any little air bubbles out.

Well i tried the manual method 3 times with no luck. I then pulled a vacuum on it for awhile with no luck. With the truck running and the PS cap off the fluid does not even move. The pump must be dead. Thoughts?
