Air readings are much more accurate than before the TB. The meth soaks on the sensor before the TB so it looks more effective than it really is. Cruising temps are roughly 20 degrees over ambient, and I believe this to be accurate. Temps on a hot restart are 140-160...truth is, that is probably accurate as well.

I knew you had yours there. I just did not like it on a previous setup i had. The startup was the biggest pain. I am not saying one way is better or worse.

I knew bringing up IAts would spawn these conversations about iats sensor placement. In which all of that is debatable. I would think the heads and valves would affect the intake temp more than anything.

Cruising IATs may be slightly higher during cruise, but at WOT the air is moving too fast to really heat up a lot. The biggest difference is on hot restart. The factory plastic intake is much easier to tune like this.

It annoys me when guys put meth nozzles right in front of the IAT sensor and think their meth system drops their intake temps like 40 degrees. Sorry, it doesnt. All you are doing is fooling the sensor. Personally I would rather have an accurate reading than feel good about my meth system.

For what its worth when my iat was before the TB I would see a 25 degree drop in temperature with meth. With it where it is in the intake its about 5 degrees.

I knew i should not have mentioned IATs.

My old meth kit used to drop iats alot when spraying. I thought that was pretty cool at first but after awhile i determined it was just soaking the sensor (like mentioned above) because when i would stop spraying it would still read really cold for about 15-60secs. From what i noticed with the new kit i dont have this issue. I believe the old kit was not atomizing (hopefully right word) the meth very good causing he issue or it was just a pile of crap. I really have not used the new kit that much so jury is still out on it.

You can thank me for blowing your thread up.

I was thinking about putting the sensor either in the #7 or #8 runner.

New bracket and pulley came in today. It fixed the belt issue thank goodness.

Much beefier than the other one.

Finally the belt stays on the truck. I took it out for test drive where i was actually able to push it. **** hits 8-9psi real quick right around 3600-3800 just running on the gate since the boost controller was turned off. The meth kicked in like it is supposed to which is good! It went pig rich thou but it is still untuned.

Finally i can enjoy the truck and finish tuning
