Were there any symptoms leading up to that or was it just suddenly dead?

Not really. No noise at all. Just every once in awhile the PS would not work at all. It gradually happened more and more. It inly has like 50miles on it. I got it at oriellys so it may have just died.

Yeah. I am looking at brand new delco pumps.

I read some interesting things last night about this. First i did not flush out the system, oops. Second, i used power steering fluid and not dexcron/atf fluid. Some people aaid it make a difference. I dunno.

Anyways. Hopefully i will have it switched out by this weekend and be back in business.

I went thru 2 orilley reman pumps before giving up and getting a new oem from GM. First orilley pump lasted ~10miles, the second didn't even make it out of the driveway.

I got the PS pump swapped out today with a brand new ACDelco. The PS works great now.

I also put on the correct 145a alternator. Another brand new ACDelco. I had a Reman 145a from a 06-07 which does not work very well. Now i have no idle hit when AC and/or fans kick on which is great.

Apparently the new alternator sticks out about 1/8-1/4 further than the old one. Whicj is causing the belt to slide off the crank. So i gotta grind down the mounts slightly. No biggie.

That noise i mentioned earlier is still there and no way it is the fuel lines. I am thinking it is some how exhaust or turbo related. It only does it when i am at heavy load. As soon as i give it gas and go into boost it goes away. Maybe it is the wastegate or something. I dunno i am at a loss.

Did you check your mounts? Maybe they are worn and flexing enough for something to hit at WOT.
