I believe that same guy is on this site.

Custm, you'll defend your hacked up **** to the end I know. There's still so much wrong with it it's unreal. If that truck had been on the road more I can just about guarantee you'd have more issues with cracked welds and **** falling off of it. The damn bed doesn't even look like it sits on the truck right for cryin out.

The OP has clearly stated he isn't going to do his like you have done so please exit stage left...

McGauphy shackle and hanger 4" kit. There is alot of good info in here and I think the frame swap would really be the easiest provided the transportation cost is cheap.

Now if you are looking to make the power that blown06 is then yes I would start playing with proven drag 4 link set ups. Unless this truck won't 60' with a boosted stock bottom end cutting 1.4-1.6. If it does I would still do it identical aside from the geometry you claim I need to drag race it. No need to change anything aside from the drive shaft and bed. I think the stock tank would work too but I was already going for the fuel cell.
Oh custm2500, what would we do with out your stupefying responses?

First of all you are wrong as usual. I happen to have a 2500LD and the frame is different in several ways!!! But what do I know it has the same sheetmetal right so it must be the same...

2nd I only stated how it should be done if your going in either direction. Not what I think is best or cheapest.

3rd you already stated why you hacked your truck the way you did. I stated what the original poster asked for nothing more. Any thing I stated based on 4 links is based on factual information from the real world and also based on real world experience. Just because I dont post pictures of everything I work on doesn't mean I can't or havent done it. But if you would like I can post names and pictures of members vehicles that I have personally worked.

And to your last comment. A frame swap is not hard at all. Ive done in the drive way and iv done it at a shop. It looks so much cleaner since it actual bolts up. Unlike your version of chop cut and attempt to weld...

Now that that's out of the way, I look forward to seeing what stennyboy comes up with.

Wow I just read through that low budget conversion….it's like a train wreck I couldn't stop reading.

The dude worked at best buy and looks like he didn't even have an air compressor, much less a welder.

Well I figured I would show you guys some stuff going on in the heated shop…

9630 grudgeon shaft bearings went down, then ended up replacing the grudgeon shaft itself. cold soak the shaft with dry ice to remove, new shaft sits in a freezer for 4 hours, then pack inside and out with dry ice for 2 hours.

Definitely not my first time! I'm excited to have a project that doesn't require a crane and a forklift to move every part. Stupid tractors are so heavy.
