holy cow... that's how you do it!!
so when i swapped mine in 2010, i read somewhere that the factory bulbs were soldered in, so i bought the stupid twist-locks from superbrightleds (the ones that are keyed incorrectly). you can only twist them in part-way & still keep a connection, so every now & then, i'll have one wiggle out & go dark. i'll have to try this out on my stockers now (thank God i still have them).

Or just buy twist locks and plug the LEDs into them.
