6 Lug 9.5" 14 Bolt Swap (pics)
Well, I've finished up everything I need to do to make the 80E work when it gets here. Nothing left to do........so I figured now was a good time to do the 14 bolt swap as well. I picked this up at a junk yard on friday. It came out of a 1994 4x4 chevy.

It had 3.42 gears and an open diff, so I took it all apart, and scrapped the gears, diff, cover, brake lines, brakes, and shocks. It was 180 lbs. I took it to the scrap yard. I got $22 for it, and bought a 30 pack. I then powerwashed it with steam.

This is after quite a few hours with a flap wheel, cutting wheel, and wire wheel. Still more to go. Sharpshooter and I will be moving the spring perches this weekend, and installing 4.11 yukon gears with an eaton posi.

Forgive the ignorance, but why does the spring perches need moved? I take it they are not in the same location as the ones on our trucks??? Also are you going to use disc brakes on the back?? I am not to keen on this swap as it has not really interested me, so be easy..
