The cam should make power in the mid-upper 6k so when shifting at a lil over 7k it should put it right back in a nice spot for the power band. getting more rpm from each gear makes it quicker assuming you have the cam to make power.
but Primarily I want it to be ABLE to handle that. I don't want to worry about breaking anything so if I build it to handle a 7600-7800 shift and shift instead at 7k then I don't have to worry about it breaking.
My actual shift points will be determined on where the cam is actually making power. I just want to be prepared so I don't have to worry about rebuilding the internals later down the road.
