Pin could have sheared off when the valve kissed the piston... or could be why the piston hit the valve...

Could only turn cam with pliers, normally i can turn them by hand, thinking theres a bearing galled to point its not allowing cam to turn... Odd thing is the actuator only had about a 1/4 inch mark where the cam moved..... So thinking it let lose on a start up not running...

Also find it odd number 2 wouldve hit the exhaust valve not the intake.... All the exhaust valves on the left bank held air and im kinda thinking i was getting air on the i take side of 7 because the rocker wasnt completely loose like i had thought it was originally...when i pulled the engine i had to loosen all the rockers to close the valves to get it to turn over it was stuck i am assuming on the #2 exhaust valve

Well..... Got cam out brought 3 bearings with it.... 1 and 2 on respective journals.... 4th joirnal took #3 bearing out....

Sometime in next few days ill measure can journals and see if the bearings spun in the block or if they just seized to cam... I could see the cam turning in the 1st bearing... If the block isnt usable ill yank the heads and few other parts(non dod valley cover) and look for another block....

It doesn't look good...

Is that a spun bearing on #3 or is that the cam journal?

Measured cam journals in block today... 1 and 2 are within spec, (can turn #2 on cam by hand #1will turn with pliers) bearing was still in 3(came out on the 4th journal of the cam) and 4-5 are still in block, now to find time to check rod/main bearings.... If bottom end bearings are good, ill throw a fresh set of bearings in it, get heads gone through, throw an ls3 cam in it and run with it.... And everything i own will have a 6.0 or larger in it!!!

Good luck! Hope your fluid doesn't come out contaminated with massive amounts of water like mine.

Debating on running with my current throttle body, or upgrading to a 90mm ls3 throttle body... I know its only like a 3mm difference but would it be worth it???
