My first turbo build! 2003 Silverado....(yet to be named)
So I stumbled onto a good deal on a 2003 Silverado with a few mods back in December of this last year truck need a little work but had great potential considering it has some mods already done. I decided to purchase it with intentions of doing a turbo build on. I've been wanting a nice daliy street toy that I can enjoy and take to the track and cruise events and whatever else. Goals for this build will 700rwhp/ 10s in the 1/4 mile. I will give run down on the build to come.
Build specs--- 2003 stock bottom end 5.3 with 80k orginal miles
90mm nnbs intake
799 heads btr springs and push rods
Trunion bearing upgraded rockers
Ljms stage 1 turbo cam 222/227 602/598 113+3
Ls9 head gaskets
Pro comp head studs
Spike performance turbo kit
Vs racing billet wheel 78/75 .96 ar turbo
4 inch upgraded intercooler
fic 89lb injectors
single walbro 450
alky control dual nozzle meth kit
4l80e swap
Yukon locker with 4:10 gears
Caltracs & calvert racing shocks.

Progress I have made.
Now ive made some good progress on this build since I've started on it. Tore the motor down and sold the cam that was in the truck and headers off it. Cleaned and prepared the block for new head gaskets and head studs. Used ls9 gaskets and ljms stage one camshaft. New ls7 lifters soaked in little mobile one I had laying around along with some ac delco EOS. Also did new lifter trays while I was at it.

Updated progress once again
I delayed making a thread on this site... So I'm uploading everything I have done to catch up!
Removed the oil pan to have a -10 drain welded on by a buddy of my that will also be doing the tuning in the truck!
Throw the motor all back together... Fuel rails did not stay...
Picked up a core 4l80e to be built. Going with a nice rebuild with a billet input shaft and billet forward clutch hub and few modifications to the valve body and good set of clutches.
Derided to go with a Inovate wideband/boost controller due to the nice price and dual functionality it provides plus it's had to beat for the price!
Progress I made with mounting up set of ls1 fans on my hd radiator or the 05-06 1500 wider version radiator what you like to call it. Using a Nelson performance fan harness so I can control them like stock.

Fuel system day!
Long story short there was broken fuel line on the truck that had been patched with rubber hose... I just decided now was the time to just bite the bullet and do -8 feed and -6 return lines while I was this far so I gutted the factory fuel system and evap system.
Mounted aeromotive boost reference fuel pressure regulator.
Got the new rails and fuel lines in!
Mounted the new rails... Took a little bit of medication to get them to work but they turned it good!
So much room for activities with the bed removed...
Got some lines built and plumbed at the tank!
Few pics of the few rails!
Like built and routed!
Summit -8an 10 micron fuel filter!

Degreased and cleaned the frame for paint later.
Removed leafs for axle flip and to install bushing for caltracs and removed overload leaf
New coil springs and flip kit
Ac delco replacement stock height springs due to someone heating the orginal up...
Little frame painting
Factory hangers. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find these things lol
Grinder and cold chisel and they are off!
Leaf installed and flip kit.
Caltracs 😎
More caltracs!
Finished look! Caltracs and flip kit!
Front suspension! Removing the springs someone heated.
Looks good right???
Little comparison!
Djm 4 inch drop arm! Nice quality, and fitment was spot on!
