Well, decided to tear into the truck again today.

Looks like something is going to have to happen with the A/C line. I had the system drained after work before I started, I was pretty sure it would need to come undone.

Back at it tomorrow after getting some miscellaneous things here and there.

Made some good head way, it looks like we went backwards, but I decided to lift the heads and put the ls9 gaskets in and studs. I was thinking of just leaving it, but now we should be able to creep up on the boost, and go further. It should fire today, but there is still a lot of little stuff to do.

Tearing down

Fuel tank was dropped, pump changed, we dropped the trans and put the PTC converter in that was spec'd for the truck, rod bolts are done, oil drain back bung is in and the pan is back on.

Well, we fired the truck and drove it off the hoist last night under it's own power. Still sitting on stock tune, so it isn't happy of course. Wiring up the electric fans, ans IAT sensor tonight, and throwing a base tune in it! Seems quiet enough, I might just run it on the open down pipe to start off.

On my lunch hour I went and picked the truck up from the shop for it's first drive to work. Still need to cut up the grill, and needs a tune bad. waiting on some injector adaptors to show up, the 85lb injectors are ev6, so once those are here, I will swap those in. currently i have a set of 42lb marine ones in there from the other turbo kit I have sitting here.

A Little update, I am daily driving the truck now. Did the trans cooler and the oil catch can this past weekend, and started doing some drive ability with the 85lbs. Fast injectors in. It is on a 2.7lbs. waste gate spring, which looks to be making a little over 4.5psi reading from the MAP sensor in HP Tuners. According to HP Tuners, it is making 470 ft. lbs. @4300rpm. Haven't put it on the dyno yet, as I will up the boost and do more street tuning first. It sure is a bit of fun!!
