Solidworks is like CAD but 3d dimensional to design parts and such.

That makes sense, I'll use my bed, but not for that.

What do you want to use Solidworks for? I know you can use it to design sheet metal parts. You can draw it in 3d and have the program flatten it out into a 2d pattern. I took a course last quarter in college were we had to reproduce a transform (toy). By the way you do great work and the project is coming along great.

Basically for what you said, that way I could have just flattened it out and traced it, by hand was pretty tricky.

looking good kid as far as what color to paint the tips i say chrome powder coat will hold up better also IMO

I LOVE THEM! what color did you say you were doing the truck black or like a graphite?

EDIT: i would say do the chrome if you're doing a dark color
