Besides the bed....
Slaved away with the DA today, my buddy came down to help with the grinder and a wire wheel getting the little rust that was left, getting it prepped for paint. Should have my rearend back soon so I can weld the shock mounts and paint this thing up.

Flipped the frame and ended up finding the melting point of the backing plate.. guess it got a little hot so I got to finish tomorrow I guess.

Top looks good though

I did 80grit then 180grit along the whole thing, nice and smooth ready for paint

Lookin good, I really like the eastwood chassis black stuff, used it several times and never had a problem with it. What are you putting underneath it (primer/sealer)? I wish I had a shop like that to work in!!! Workin in my garage sucks...

That is what I would suggest, I have used both of those the encapsulator and chassis black and they work great together.. If you did not feel like using the encapsulator you could use a good self etching primer. Anyways keep up the good work... Looks amazing!!

Curious on what the Eastwood recomends as far as final prep before applying both products??? I would figure an 80 grit on a DA would be good for manicanical adhesion. I use an epoxy primer and with my experiance the finer you go the less mechanical adhesion you end up with...
