worked on it some tonight, didn't take many pictures I was all alone in the shop all night so I just stayed working got a good amount done, pictures dont really show it though. More tomorrow.
cut some pipe for the bed mount holes before boxing it in

Welded in the circle filler plates from the back before the boxing goes on.

Nice heavy duty 3/16" cross member to keep this frame nice and stiff

Boxed up with 1/8" plate like the rest of the frame. On this part of the frame I had to bend a L-piece since the top part of the frame is not as wide as the bottom, if I thought ahead when i did my notch I could've cut and made it uniform, o well.

What I plan to do here is trim the frame back except the bed mount and a small angle to give the bed mount a little support even though the bed isn't going to strain it anyway.

Final cross member gone!

Did a little grinding before I called it a night, but my back was killing me so I lifted that son-of-a-bitch on a sawhorse

Still need to throw some filler welds in for it to be perfect-o!

$15plus shipping, 3.5" behind the axle brackets

Tomorrow I hope to complete the underside, flip it back over and start setting up where the fuel cell will mount and how Im going to run 3" exhaust over the axle and to the back.

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear about your fingers..... Great work BTW!!!!

BTW IMO you really don't need to use 3/16 for that rear crossmember, 1/8 box would do just fine, not to mention you need a really heavy duty welder (stick, A mig maybe if prepped properly) to even get good pentration on 3/16..... I used all 1/8 on the chasis of my mustang.... Everyone on pro-touring.net said 1/8 was plenty...
