If I am correct the 4L60E and 80 are actualy 6 speed transmitions. They have an intermitent gear ratio between 2-3 and 3-4. They aren't considered another gear for what ever reason. My tranny guy never explained it any more then that. If that is true then maybe he can lock it into those intermitent ratios if he so chooses?
Holy crap you two are smoking some good stuff.
Probably both voted for Obama too.

7 gears, 7 states of the transmission valves
There's 3 valves that control the transmission
1-2
2-3
3-4 shuttle
There's 7 combinations used to control a 4L60e
Look at the transmission flow chart. There isn't any point in which 1 valve supplies pressure to 1 band. It's all combinations.

Ive been in a few transmissions and i dont see how you can make 2 extra gear ratios when there are only a couple clutch packs and a band.....

You don't have more gears
There's 4 forward
There's neutral
1 reverse
And park engages 2 simultaneously
Now look at how a transmission works. There's an inner that spins. Then engages another gear that's around that gear. Then engages another outside of it. An auto is planetary gears. There aren't 4 completely separate gears that it switches between. It "stacks" gears.

Good to see OP back.
Can we see a time slip of the 11.2 pass?
Can we see a print out of the truck weighing 2400 pounds?
Can we see a dyno print out of the motor making 400hp?
Can you please reply to my email I sent asking about your add on CL???
Thanks

hahahah you literally meant P, R, N, D, 3, 2, and 1 all work.. think everybody took you the wrong way..
Now the only difference between P and N is P engages the Park Pawl.
