That tube is about construction paper thick

1/4"

Dom cage will be installed in the near future

Just got ahold of a th350 that I'm going to bulletproof and replace the 4L60e in it currently
Reverse manual valve body
3k stall
Line lock

Sfi flexplate
9" rear axle
Super Vic intake
Comp cams 54-454-11 lsr cam and matching valve springs is what comp cams recommends

5 lug conversion

That's the shopping list currently

I'll update as the time comes

1/4 thick is good. I always use 3/16 on suspension componets. I just glad you didnt post up 1/8 thick.

I think 1/4 is still too thin for a 6 foot long stretch that has to hold up the entire *** end of the truck. Now with the cage plans it will be fine if you don't go driving till then and ruin it.

The axle centerline is around 30" from the cab
24" of that is fabricated
Remember I'm running coils not the stock 64" leaf springs

Up front I'm going to try and put some 88-98 spindles

I may be wrong, but I believe the Corvette hub will bolt to the truck spindle-which opens up a host of goodies, like big brakes and 5-bolt pattern.
