If you are looking into the 14 bolt rear, why are you shying away from a 4l80 or th400 trans? The 14 bolt is pretty heavy, I figured you would look into a Ford 9" for an axle upgrade since you are trying to save weight.

Bypassed the power steering before I completely remove it.
Requires a 67.5" belt for those that care.

9" would be more money plus I'd have to have it narrowed.
C&C axles are cheap, bulletproof, and will let me tuck the tires I want.

Looks kinda familiar :-)

Here's my RCSB as it sits currently.

I am currently mounting 13"x36" trailer fenders over the rear wheels solid mounted to the axle so they move with the wheels.

I, too, used spectre tubing for CAI

Are you going to run a smaller, lighter battery?

I'd say if you are going to run a bed make it as light as possible.... when I took my bed off it felt like I added 50hp

My old shop had a drag truck with an aluminum bed. It used the original bed side skins with aluminum bed floor and tubs. The bed floor was just there to cover the fuel cell and battery. It was never intended to carry a load

For mine, for now. I am going to run the trailer fenders and custom make a aluminum treadbrite deck over the frame for a kind of hot rod flatbed
