Default Paint!

I bought the truck not only crashed but with a BAD paint job. I took it back apart to begin painting it. The body has no rust, so its just a disassemble, paint it black and put it back together.

BLACK! Its the only color! I thought about light blue as a good sleeper color, but I don't want to put all that time into a paint job and then have a light blue old man truck. I'm keeping the stock bumpers and grill, chrome. The rest all black. I'm keeping the stock wheels and stock tire size for the street. I have drag radials for the strip. Its a conundrum... If the stock paint were in OK shape but just aged, I wouldn't touch it. But the kid I bought it from painted it before he crashed it. The paint was SO BAD, it just looked like a beater. So I have to paint it. I'm afraid it will look too new. Maybe I can throw so old "Teamsters Union" bumper stickers on the back?

Default Primer

I sprayed the cab with primer today. I hope to shoot the base and clear next weekend.

Default Paint and Interior

I painted the cab and fenders 2 weeks ago. Interior is well under way too. I'm making good progress and My goal is to finish before the drags open back up for spring. Anyone on this site from the north east? Anyone go to New England Dragway?
