Thanks for posting up the pics of you making the gauges. I started working on mine last time home but once I mounted it back in the truck didn't like the placement so I tore them out again. Will work on it again next time home

I ended up placing the tubes first and snapping it back together to check... then supeglued the tubes in... then pulled it back apart and epoxied the tubes in.. then started fiberglass.

Only way I could get the angle right.

Glad the trans issue is fixed.. now its time for some cruising..

Im really thinking about building a aluminum fuel cell where the spare tire goes. 15-20 extra gallons would be handy on a long trip.

Well... trans isn't perfect but it'll do for the time being... meaning I'm gonna drive it for a little while and see if anything changes because I'm out of ideas for a fix. Still has a reverse delay but it doesn't appear to be hurting anything at this point.

I really like the hx30w so far... its nice having boost just off idle... I'm seeing 15+ psi on flat ground at 70mph... around 10psi at 60mph also on flat ground. Cant wait to compound it...

I also need to drop the idle a bit... I think I'm getting into the stall a little on the converter while at idle... if I'm on the brakes, I have a slight vibration but if I ease off the brake pedal... the truck starts to pull slightly and the vibration goes away. I really need to get the tach working so I can see what the thing is actually idling at.

Anyways... list of things I want to get done in the near future...

Crank reluctor wheel and mount (get the tach working)
Get speedometer working as it should
Re-route boost reference (coming straight out of head... want to 90 it for a cleaner look)
Drill manifold for egt probe
Order 2nd fuel tank and plumbing

Hoping to start knocking this stuff down in the next week or two.

More to come soon

Not yet... still need to mount the compressor.... we made a 4 groove pulley so I can use the stock Tahoe compressor and tensioned... its just been on the back burner.

Ill have the reluctor wheel today so I'll be working on getting the cps setup next..

Cool build! I wonder how much it would cost me to have a 2nd take or fuel cell for my 2500? I take trips and sucks getting gas all the time lol!

^^
That would be the easiest method... bolt in and go. If I had the option, I'd go that route.

Anyways, I got my reluctor wheel and ordered a spacer that bolts to the crank snout... all I need to do now is plate the center of the stock 24x reluctor wheel and drill it for the crank bolt pattern.. then make a mount for the 5.3 cps and it should be good to go.

Thinking about pulling the turbo and drilling my manifold this weekend if I have time... get my egt probe installed and get the gauge working...

Hoping to order the fuel cell and plumbing at the end of the month if fundage allows... we'll see.

More to come soon.
