I really like that mounting bracket that you made for the Aeromotive regulator. I'd like to get something similar for my install.

Thanks GMC. Not too much to it, just 4 holes drilled in an aluminum plate, and bent horizontally lengthwise so that the regulator is straight up and down. The top holes bolt on to the 2 ground posts on the firewall, not sure if that's a good idea or bad now that I think about it.

So progress on the truck has been slow due to work. It was so hot here in NC that I got cold feet about tuning the truck, so I tore it apart again. Figured I'd work on it all summer in preparation for a 16psi or so pass this fall. I started with stripping the rear half of the frame and prepping it for paint

I used a 3 part East Woods Chassis restorer. Started with 2 coats of rust converter, then 2 coats of rust sealant, and finished it off with gloss black. I think it turned out pretty good.

I also dropped the transmission to prep for the 4l80e. I ordered a Circle D 3600 Triple Disc which should get here Monday, a frost 4l80e wiring harness, and got a new TCI Flexplate from summit.

I also removed what was left of my overload leaf spring. I've got to bolt the rear end back together, verify pinion angle since I think that was causing my traction issues off the line, and order some shims. I also got some tires put on my Boss 330 rims for the street, but we put them on fastjwebs truck since I wont need them for a while. 20x8.5 rims, front: 255/45R20 and rear: 295/45r20. Can't wait to see what they look like on my truck.

Sorry guys, its been a while. The 4L80e and circle D 3600 triple disc are in! Currently finishing up the Transgo Shift kit. I also got the rear end put back together. Now I'm waiting on my yoke to get here from Jakes performance and then ill be able to measure for a new driveshaft. Hoping to have this thing back on the road and on 8lbs by the end of the month. FastJWeb came down yesterday and helped out a lot. He also brought down my wheels and I think they look pretty good on the truck. Just a little better than rusty black stockers!

AND... we took out the carpet in the cab and started mocking up my new, light weight race seat.

So, the truck is back together and tuned pretty well on 9lbs!! Its pretty awesome. Went to the track for the 2nd time tonight on 9lbs and ran a best of 12.93@105.41mph with a 1.96 60ft. Went back into the tune, desensitized burst knock, leaned the topend out more towards 11.5, and ran a 12.96@107.4mph with a 2.08 60ft. A lot to be desired with that 60ft time. Would like to see deep 12's on 9psi when its all said and done. Base timing is currently set at 14 degrees, but I'm seeing 13 degrees consistently due to burst knock.

I attached my tune, config, and log at the track of the 12.96 run if anyone is interested to take a look.

I've got a set racestars coming sometime this month, I plan on getting a 4in exhaust with electric cut out welded up shortly, will have a new up-pipe fabricated with meth bungs and IAT sensor. I'd like to try out VHT on some of the intake pipes that are directly behind the radiator as well as build an airbox out of some thin aluminum to try and help reduce my IATs. Also, I'm hoping to shed a couple pounds too. It will never be done, but its nice to tinker instead of doing large scale mods. Once I get into the deep 12's, we'll turn it up to 16psi and let her eat!
