Nope, I'm out of the game. I'll be back at some point though.

And when I come back, I won't be stupid like I was previously. If I want to go fast I will build a race truck, not a street truck. Too many compromises. Similar to Blown06. Although he took it to the extreme.

If I want a fast street vehicle, I will buy a Z06 (or equivalent) that comes with a warranty.

Seeing this turbo truck threads gets my blood bubbling
I really need to do some back to back, or at least same day, passes with the cutout open vs closed. I'd be really interested to see the results.

I was very caution for a long time, and that's the most timing I'll go. My reasoning: I ran 15* on 13psi on 93 pump gas for a long time. I've replaced close to 20% of the 93 pump at WOT with M1, and I'm only running 4-5* more. Looking at it that way, I don't think its really pushing it that bad and my IATs stay around 50 degrees...all I can say is so far so good and I hope it stays that way. When I increase boost to about 16psi, I'll probably run a max of 15-16* timing, and at 20psi it'll be a max of 10*. After a bunch of reading, it seems the key is keeping the aggressive timing away from peak torque so after I eventually get it dyno'd I'll probably play with adding timing in on either side of peak torque.

I'd like to get a 10sec pass on 13psi but I might move up to 16psi here relatively soon.

For the purposes of build documentation, heres the newest personal best from yesterday. 16.5psi worth of springs in the waste gate, 12* base timing up until 6000rpm, then 13* base timing with 3* added by the IAT table. Boost started out at 17psi in the mid range, and dropped to 15.5psi by about 6300rpm. This was the 3rd and best pass of the day (only 10sec pass) and then my transmission showed a bunch of slippage in 1st and 2nd gear on the 4th pass, and only 800rpm shift extension on the 1-2 shift (typically 12-1300rpm). Additionally, the truck was shifting at a much higher rpm across the board all day and I was slowly trying to adjust the trans tables to bring the shift rpm/speed back down. I then had a whine coming from the trans for the hour and half ride home.

So, I believe a rebuild with some upgraded internal is due. I also plan to start locking the converter and think that I'm just going to put the lockup on a switch in the dash to utilize when racing (will still control normal driving lock up conditions via the tune, but have had inconsistent WOT Lockup in the past).
