Default 03 Silverado RCSB DD build

Hey guys recently signed on here as I bought a 2003 Silverado RCSB 2wd. Has the 4.8l and 4l60 tranny. As with every vehicle I've owned there's always something you got to do to it to make it my own and make my enjoyment of it all the better. As of right now I'm buying a Kooks OR Y-pipe and LT headers. Then complete the exhaust with something (haven't decided yet). Also putting a brute force intake and would like to switch the 863 casting heads for either 799 or 243 heads. And then with that I'll get it tuned by someone.

The truck is mainly stock except for some airbags the previous owner installed and a pair of 6" lowering shackles. Has some serious offset steel wheels on it right now and 30x9.5 AT3's. Rims are 10" wide so I'll be putting some tires on it that actually fit the rims properly. Open to suggestions for them.

Let me know what you guys think I've modded a few vehicles but never one that has such a good aftermarket so let me know if you think I should do different mods to make it a more enjoyable DD.

Get you some wheels that tuck. Take the bags off and put a procharger on it.

I would fix the missing door handle first...

That way you can hang on to it when you start modding it...

Wheels are getting changed just waiting to find a good deal on what I want. Thinking of going with some American racing AR910 wheels in 18x9. The bags need to go they are literally useless for what my goals are with the truck and they are stopping me from lowering the truck more. Unfortunately FI really isn't in the near future and I'd be looking at a twin screw setup if I did.

What's your guys thoughts on putting a LQ9 in the truck with the 4L60 behind it?

@1fastbrick this is when I first got the truck got the door handle replaced and a bunch of other things done to it before I could even drive it. Brand new calipers, ABS motor, and rubber lines all the way around cause the guy I bought it from our ATF in the reservoir!!!!! FML.

Haha almost the exact same truck I'm doing. I got my 03 with blown rear air bags on 20,s. worn out front end from cut springs, no missing door handle though lol. I'm slowly getting things right too. Congrats on a fun truck.

Those American Racing wheels look sharp. I currently have a 2004 ECSB truck that I'm in the process of working on. These trucks are a lot of fun!

I'm kinda stuck on Kooks headers cause I can get them at a good price up here in Canada. Have you had experience with speed engineerings setup?
