Hey all,

I'm new to this forum, but not new to the GM800 Platform. Done a couple of projects now with my most recent coming to completion, I'm looking for something fun.

This project comes in the way of leftovers from last build. I recently did a Duramax/Allison swap in a 2004 2500 Suburban LT.

For that large swap an entire donor truck was required, so a rolled 2005 crew cab short box duramax 4x4 was purchased. You may be able to see where i am going with this... insert the 8.1L/4L80e sitting on my shop floor.

the best part of this project was the truck i found. sitting for sale with no motor or trans... for 2 grand.!

Again this more of a way to use up some extra parts, so please no "you should just put a 6.0L in" comments please.

The plan:

Swap all electronics from 2000 gen to 2004/2005 Gen wiring.

Motor/trans/ECM/PCM/BCM are all from the 04/05 platform.

Swap then entire interior to dual zone HVAC from duramax. dash, power windows/door locks, heated leather seats, and last but not least the center console.

Thunder550 did a similar project with a reg cab a couple of years ago, but it was a duramax swap.
