Think for over a year now. Should be less restrictive considering the surface area. Haven't really seen anyone run one so decided to try them out. I have the Track Day filters coming in as well. Same thing but adds 2 layers of filter media for a little more protection.

Well finally got back to my normal work schedule after 8 weeks of no days off... Started to get back to work on this thing and in that time decided to make some changes. First off went back to symmetrical headers and turbo placement. Just a better plan to go with other then trying to run one headers all the way across to the other side. I liked it but my engine builders and tuners didn't. Something about how its going to load the motor and stuff beyond my understanding. They know more then I know when it comes to that stuff so I swapped everything back over. Next thing we changed was the intercooler. The 417 intercooler is a nice piece but just too small and too much of a heat sink to do what I want it to do. I drive my truck 90% on the street so just wasn't going to work for my setup. Anyways snapped some pics...

New transmission came in today. Had to make a quick run to San Antonio to go get it at the freight terminal. Took about 2-3 months but its finally here and looks great. Will see how well it does under my heavy *** 4x4 truck. Its the Terminator V good for 2000hp+ so fingers crossed. Gonna go great with my ProTorque converter...

For the heat exchanger it's gonna be a unit from D3, more then likely the one for the camaros or CTSVs.

Same place as stock, turbos will be pushed back about 2 inches from where they are at now and a extra thick radiator, Spal fans, and condenser will be mounted in between the inlets of the turbos. Intercooler will be mounted underneath. Originally was going to put the intercooler where the radiator goes and mount the radiator and condenser flat underneath but not really liking that idea.

Transfer case fits! Was the only thing I was really worried about when doing this swap. Couldn't really find any good info on the compatibility of a 6l80e Borg Warner transfer case and a 4l80e transmission. Got with Carl Rossler and did all the measuring on the output shaft to get it right. Worked out great, I used the 4l80e transfer case mount and didn't have to modify anything. 4l80e T-case mount bolts right up to the BW transfer case and the output shaft of the 4l80e mates up with the BW perfectly...
