I have beat a mild one before, and a duramax with a tune. If he wants to go for $2000, you better believe he has something. I wouldnt do it, but its not my money on the line.

A stock 6.0 tuned to the limit will make close to 400 rwhp and over 700 ft/lbs, but you should have a good weight advantage.

My roommates 06 6.0 4 door FX4 runs 14.2 with 380rwhp/700ft/lbs. Tune only.

Start adding bigger turbos, nitrous, propane, etc, and the sky is the limit, although the stock tranny is not happy even at 700 ft/lbs.

find out what tuner he is running and if hes on stock turbo. 6.0's can run OK but don't run too great unless they have SCT tuning. If he has SCT watch out, with a good custom xtreme race tune they can run high 13's to 14 flat range.

They still better run if a PPE/EFI live duramax is near

SCwho?

Honestly, you can only lean on a stock 6.0 so hard, as long as you have a proper tune in there, they all run in the same ballpark. I've found on the dyno that the stock fuel system is pretty much done at about 760 ft/lbs, no matter what you do.

I'd say those tires you have are slowing you down regardless of what the other guy has.

Bigger injectors won't give you more power. The only reason you would need bigger injectors is if your maxing out the ones you have which isn't likely just yet.

ah. i knew it didnt give you power. but i wasnt sure what the reason for getting them would be. so....do or dont race the guy? i have a 6.0, headers, cold air intake, z06 cam, 3000 stall, and a very good tune.
