Default Knowledge help, please

I have asked my builder about adding nitrous to my truck. He says it is a bad idea with my set-up. It is a built 408, 9.2:1(I think), Procharged with Meth injection. Anyone on here have a similar setup and have nitrous?

What size shot and how much boost are you running?

Trever1t is going a little bit faster than you (albeit at a lower altitude) with a blown, nitrous'd 5.3 in a heavier ECSB. I say do it!

I think you would be ok with a 50 to a 75 shot. This is based on nothing. Your welcome

My tuner said the same thing......until I did it. I assume you have forged pistons, and with the lower CR you should be able to take a lot more than I would safely? It's all up to the tuning for you. My stock engine takes ~12lbs boost and an occasional 75 shot with quite a bit of timing...at 9.9:1 CR

I would do it if you have a good bottom end(forged) It should take a 50 75 shot *** problem, but have the tune on key

Why does your builder say no? Did the bottom end get built strong enough for more power? CR is ok for nitrous, strength is the only thing holding you back.

Everything is built and yes forged. I am running lots of boost though, it peaks at 18lbs. My times are in complete street trim, (22" rims and rubber) and tune, lol. I want to get an insane time, try DR's on 20's, C-16 tune and 83lb injectors before being booted from track again for no roll bar. Lower than 11.50 without a roll bar gets you booted. I'm wondering if a 50 or 75 shot is worth it. My tuner said a full C-16 tune is good for approx. 100rwhp gain.
