ive heard of alot of people runnin nitrous and bought a kit for myself once but sold it before i put it on my truck but of all the research ive done on nitrous ive never heard of anyone running different head gaskets???I can tell you from experience that they aren't that fun to change. not really hard to do but very time consuming. those gaskets aren't cheap either 50+/gasket for the fel-pro replacements not to mention you will need new head bolts thats another 20$/set. just a thought

your stock gaskets will be fine. iv never heard of anybody having problems with 150 shot. Not saying these motors wouldn't hold a 200 shot but i wouldn't recommend it unless you have a pretty good tune. Even then it would still be sketchy. you'll be surprised what a warm bottle and 150 will do.

I'm kinda in the same boat.I'm a member on s10forum and alot of us doing the v8 swap.I've asked the same ? over there and most of them said oem mls. They were not too big of a fan of the cometics. So I might be going with the Felpro mls with a 150 shot myself.

the engine is not assembled yet, so it wont be a pain to switch to a different material gasket. mls gaskets are $71 each from summit, cometics are $90 each. i have spoke with several race engine builders and they all recommended cometic head gaskets if i am going to be spraying it at all but i wanted to get some input from this site. the engine isnt going to be stock at all so i dont think a 200 shot will be a problem.

stock is fine, but I have cometic for my head swap I am about to do on my 5.3, and a set I have for my 375 ci sitting on the stand for when I blow my 5.3. I chose cometic to get the comp up. from .054" to .041" makes quite a diff. but shop ebay, I found them for $75 to $100 new not retailer.
