see thats the thing I dont know I dont have a guage I know I need one. The guy that filled it told me not to heat it cause he put some pressure in the bottle, I guess that he filled it a little fuller. I dont know but by the way he talked it should have plenty of pressure in it. But thats only for the first pass I guess, since it would start loosing pressure as you use it with no heater. Right?

Yes everytime you use the bottle it has less nitrous so the PSI will drop causing it to deliver a smaller shot. A bottle heater helps maintain the pressure longer so you get more consistent deliveries with the nitrous. The big problem you can run into with a wet kit without a bottle heater is while you may have the nitrous and fuel solenoids jetted for 150 hp if the bottle pressure is low you will get a 150 hp shot of fuel and maybe only a 75 or 100 hp shot of nitrous. Thats going to make the engine run fat and be even more down on power and could make it run slower than when it was on the 100 shot.

Also, sometimes when your bottle gets filled, it can bend the siphon tube(pickup tube) and can cause it to surge due to the Nitrous sloshing around and with the tube bent, it's not low enough to pick it up. Also, with a 150 shot, you will probably lose about 75-100 psi each pass if you do not have a heater, ideal range is 900-1000, i have run more but be prepared cause it is a violent hit. Is your bottle in the cab sideways or is it in the bed or somewhere else?

Yeah man i say get you a gauge especially if you have a heater, that bottle builds pressure quick. I remeber one day was rollin around and had the heater on cause i was just havin fun and i looked back and it had 1450lbs of pressure. It didnt take it long at all and that wasnt on a full bottle either. I dunno what the bottles are rated to hold pressure wise but i have seen some gauges that go into the red at 1200 so i dont think its just a whole lot.

They have "Burst Valves", I was told that if i were to get a Nitrous kit. I need to have atleast a 3500-3600psi Burst Valve. This guy was in the navy, he told me bout air bottles that something messed up on and went through 2 bulk heads on a ship.
So i got a lil more research to do now...
Hope you figure out what your problem is..

that would be a scary surprise to be sitting in your bunk and have an air tank come flying through your bulk head

thanks everyone for the help. I think that it was just running rich since the bottle pressure had to be low. thanks again
