Default yes I am a noob..

Hello everyone...I have been looking for a site like this and I am glad I found it. I have always wanted the 1999 Silverado in a RCSB with the 5.3 LM7 in it since it first came out. I just got around to picking one up . it is a 99 in indiglo blue with grey interior.
I plan to either build up the LM 7 or drop in a LS1 ,dont know yet that is why I am here. All I know know is that I am digging this truck..

welcome to the site and the world of ls based trucks!!

5.3 is a good starting point but most guys go 6.0...5.3 can be made to be quick tho!!

Nice truck! I love that blue...I just traded my truck to a guy for a 99' SS. But yes most guys do end up going with the 6.0's. And you can make a heads/cam/bolton 5.3 run mid 12's pretty easy. Look up BlueCajuns set-up. Oops, welcome to PT.NET!

thanx everyone.. It has dual split rear with some kind muffler I cant tell but it will all come off soon. I am not a big fan of rear exhaust I prefer side exit or dumps.Mid 12's would be just about right for me on the street for now.

Mid 12's seems pretty fast on the street trust me lol...but a heads/cam package some 3.73's locker, longtubes, etc... should put you there without a doubt. Goodluck on your future modding, you found a great place to start and everyone will be here to help you along
