Default Noob, with a few ??

Hey guys, long time lurker, love the site, has good info.
I mine as well post the few questions that I have in my intro.

I own an 06 4x4, ecsb, 5.3(l33), 4l60e, 3.42 g80, 147,000 miles.
I bought the truck around a year ago, with 120,000, I am the second owner of the truck, I have all the service records from the previous owner. Oil was always changed every 3000, coolant has been flushed twice, along with trans flush, front diff flush, transfer case flush, and rear diff flush, and tune up. The trucks service records show that the truck was well maintained.

It came with volant cai, and flowmaster cat back, which I replaced with magniflow, due to rotted muffler, and pipes.
Any other mod I'm not sure of. Which raises my questions.

What I am wondering, does a stock l33 have a little lope to it??
If not, mine does at hot idle, which leads me to belive there is a small cam. So I wonder if it has a small cam in it??
There is no tune on it right now, but I bought it from a dealer, and wonder if it was just flashed over, or may have never had one.

Also what leads me to believe that it may have a small cam, is I raced my cousins 2010, ecsb 4x4, 5.3, and just blew his doors off. I made 3 runs with him, which all 3 he jumped me, and I just pulled him hard, once i hit around 20-25 mph, and took 4-6 leanghts on him. I just don't see that big of a difference from cat back, and cai.
I also kept up with a 2011 cc hemi, but he had me by 1/2 of a quarter panel.
So what do ya think?? What's the likelihood that I have a small cam??
I plan on a tune shortly, but I'm just looking for opinion of what people think of it already having a cam, because I want to throw one in along with new lifters and all the other s h.

Thanks, and sorry for the long post, Jake

It's possible, while this may not say for sure you could pull the valve covers and see what valve springs are in it. Get a video of the hot idle so we can hear it.

Stock 5.3 does have a lil lope when hot, L33 uses same cam as a cast iron 5.3. Has more compression and better flowing heads.

Cool, that's what I was wondering.
I'm going to change it to a 212/218 114 lsa, Z06 springs, Chrome molly push rods, and new Valve seals (while I'm in there) I'm guessing I need to change lifters???

Unless your lifters are noisy, roll with what you got. Don't tell anyone but I'm still running stock pushrods....
