Default New from Tucson, at least for now.

How's it goin' everyone? I'm Jeff, currently living in Tucson but moving back to Texas in a few months. I don't have a so-called "performance" truck just yet, but I'm starting a build on a '99 Ranger. It's getting the obvious, a V8 swap, just not sure on which motor just yet. For the sake of being different and pissing off brand loyalists, I've been looking into an LS1 swap. The only real reason I'd keep it all Ford is that my father works for them so I'd be able to buy my parts rather cheap. As it is, my truck hasn't moved in 6 months since I blew the motor, and I've ignored it because I was having too much fun riding my CBR600RR all over the place. Now that the bike has been crashed and sent to heaven, the truck is back on the front burner. I'll try to get some pics of the truck in it's current state (pitiful) later in the week, and I'll start a build thread on it once the ball is rolling along. So far I've only looked through the Lightning section on here, and you guys have some AMAZING trucks!!!! Well, that's it for now. Later.

Wow, another person in Tucson? 'Bout time. Welcome!

I vote for putting a Gen III/IV V8 into it. They're much cheaper and more plentiful than Ford parts IMO.

I've thought about it, but the mod motors are way too much work to fit in.
