New PT guy with MP112 RCSB!
#1
Hey guys and gals,
Not new to the forums, but new over to this site of LS1tech! We are a sponsor over on LS1tech as well as a few other forums and hope to be over here as well soon once we can make some cool new parts for these trucks!
In any event, I just picked up a new-to-me 2003 Silverado, RCSB, 4.8l, PW/PL, beautiful Arrival Blue with a MP112.
Many of you will recognize the truck as I picked it up from member "beastmode" on here. Bill was great to deal with and made the transaction the best vehicle buying experience I have ever had!
Truck is still just as I bought it from Bill, but I have a few plans for it in the works here shortly which consist of:
-TSP longtubes thanks to my pal Aaron over at Texas-Speed. We will modify these with cats and a v-band and then build a nice true dual exhaust set-up after with an X-pipe.
-E-Fans, I have a set off our shop's 99 Z28 mock-up car. Harness is on the way from the guys at PCM4Less.
-After this obviously a re-tune.
-Ditching the escalade door handles for some body matched handles all around.
-The top bumper pad needs repainting so we are doing a full paint to match front bumper with it, and body match the mirrors as well.
-Most likely some 20% tint all around.
-Add a Boost and Trans Temp Gauge in the compartment up by the review mirror.
Right now we are ironing out an annoying P1515 code. The truck has a 90mm TB and a X-link. We have one more trick to try in tuning thanks to some good advice here on the forum. If that doesn't work I have an adapter flange and will be tossing the stock TB back on.
Re-cap on picking up the truck:
I posted up a WTB ad, and Bill simply PM'd me stating his truck wasn't "for sale" but for $X he would sell it. We communicated for a couple weeks while he sent me tons of details pictures of the truck and videos. This made me very confident in buying, the way every for sale ad should be! After getting our schedules in order, I booked a 1-way ticket to Pittsburg. Bill met me at the airport with the truck. We then finished the deal and off I went for a nice cruise back to Michigan!
Thanks again Bill, I appreciate you working to make it such a smooth transaction, and thanks for such a nice truck... not sure why you let this one go!

what an ugly pos, so glad he got rid of that piece...lol To bad he sold me his color matched mirrors or else you would already have em on there...
and i wouldnt bother adding a trans temp gauge unless you really want one, can add one to your current stock cluster or switch to one with it for just about as much or even an aeroforce..

I got the sweet heated and turn signal mirrors though
Good call on the trans temp gauge, maybe I'll find something different instead!

I'm still scratching my head as to why I sold it too
Btw Jon, your plate looks SOOO badass
I noticed you were saying about swapping back to the 78mm, I still have the Magnuson 78mm Jtube I forgot to give you in the box-o-parts... I'll ship that over with the HIDs Tuesday (sorry I haven't gotten them out sooner).
Thanks again for the good feedback as well, if all transactions went as smoothly as that one the world would be at peace lol.
I know not what you speak off Tim

Sweet, that would be nice to have around! By next weekend the truck should be a whole new animal!
