Put the stock TB back on today and my issue is gone. Nice to be able to go WOT and it not shut me down!

Must have just missed the downshift point here:

 

Right where your tach needle is pointing is where a trans temp guage would be on a Duramax truck, I dont know if they would interchange though. Just a thought...

 

Denali's, Silverado SS's and all HD 's had trans temp guages in the clusters and they are interchangeable. Just get a cluster from one of those that is for a gas truck and it will work. The wiring is already there.
