New Midwest
What’s up. Midwestern(Iowa). Picked up an 02 RCSB back in October with some stuff done to it. 6.0 out of a tbss, cam, exhaust and lowered all the way around. I’ve done almost all my own wrenching in my life, some of the bigger stuff with help from buddies but I’m diving in on this one. So far I’ve got a mildly built 4l80e, ordered a billet converter from perfect converter co and a cross member from DTR fab, got Calvert performance split leafs, and cal tracs(ordering Viking double adjustable shocks for the rear for those it have to measure at ride height) and I bought the sloppy “the best” cam for it since I have no idea what’s in it currently and there was a 50/50 chance I would have to pull it to check anyway. Planning on spraying it as soon as I get the trans in and setup, and then doing a single 88ish sized turbo on it this winter as well as build a 8.8 Ford for it. Also got Tahoe front seats and a console for it that I’m having redone in red. Anything stands out that I need to address, feel free to throw it out there. Thanks!!

So it was lowered when I got it. It was just a generic flip kit with cheap shocks. I put the Calvert split mono springs with the caltracs on the rear last week, ordered some Viking berserker double adjustable shocks on the rear, and then up front in doing the IHC upper/lower control arm setup, and I’ll run the Viking coil overs with that and I’m going to do a bump steer kit as well. It rode like trash the way it was lol. This Viking setup should give it about as good of ride as you can get being low, plus plenty of adjustability for traction.
