New member here from STL, not new to the car or truck scene but I have recently purchased a project truck and I will be on the forum doing my research and asking for input.

My garage currently has a 2006 Z06, 2005 RCSB 4.8 and a 2010 Escalade.

My plan for the truck is a budget build that is boosted and to be a daily driver I look forward to hearing from those that have experience and advise to give.

Welcome! Anymore details on your plans? There is loads of crap to read on here. As you probably know, the 4.8 loves some forced air.

I got the truck right before Christmas and just got back in town. I have the DJM 2/4 drop already here as well as some interior stuff keyless entry, stereo etc... truck is a base model with no power anything. I have been in contact with KBracing and Trick in regards to a streetable turbo setup, as well as my tuner.

Right now I am trying to decide if I should do a cam/tq conv. and harden the block a little for now...or just go ahead and order one of the two vendors turbo kits and go from there. (which sounds like more fun to me)

If I go ahead with the cam the profile that has been recommend this far is 215/219 .604/.609 114+2 LSA

I don't plan on doing a 4L80e swap but I'm curious to know long it will take the 4L60 to need a rebuild.

If it gets warm, I also need to spend this weekend getting the side steps off, pin stripes and that bed cover.

My guess on the 60 without being built is a very short time... and even when it is built you'd be time and money ahead to just go to an 80 so you can forget about it.

Welcome to the site

Nice looking truck and sounds like you've got some good plans for it.
Word to the wise, budget and boost do not go together well lol.
