I have a 2002 trans am, mint condition, modded to the max. Still very streetable and I could very well drive it year round, but I just drive it in the summer and want to keep it nice, hang on to it for a long time.
I need a good daily driver that I can enjoy as much as the t/a and drive year round. I am starting grad school and need something relaible, decent gas mileage, and I want it to have some fun factor, and a little bit of bling factor. It is between a nice pickup and a sportier luxury car (m3).
I have my dad's old '02 lex es300 and I honestly hate it. The transmission is poorly programmed which makes it insanely annoying to drive. It seems too plain to me as well. I can sell this, add some of my money, and my parents will help me a bit since I listened to them and did good in college
Originally I wanted a silverado SS or TBSS but I already got a fast car and they can't offroad.
I was down south for break and kind of fell in love with classy lifted trucks. Stuff like this:

I would absolutely love an 03-04 Sierra denali, I think they are within price range, are very practical, very comfortably and practical, and definitely have some bling. I am worried that gas mileage will absolutely suck with a moderate lift and nice rims/tires.

I also like newer chevy trucks, rams, etc.
I also think a 2000ish bmw M3 would be a sick car, look awesome, fast, decent gas mileage, well built, also in price range, etc.

What do you guys think, any advice or other recommendations?

Truck has more uses and you're asking on a truck forum... so that's mostly what you're gonna hear I would bet. The gas mileage with 4.10s, AWD, and a 6.0 (what most Denalis have) is going to suck, but an M3 doesn't get great mileage either and you certainly can't pull or haul anything in the the M3.

honestly if you are looking to get a 4x4 truck and lift it with big wheels and tires i wouldnt worry about gas...its gonna suck...but a nice ext cab or crew cab silverado or sierra 5.3/60e/373 gears...will get you some pretty good numbers if you dont go huge with tires and lift.......good luck on deciding

Dang it's such a hard choice to make.
What kind of gas mileage am I looking at in a 4x4 Sierra Denali with a lil body lift and some nice wheels/tires that aren't huge. The benefits of the trucks is comfort, safety, no problems with offroad/winter, and I can potentially tow my car to the track. I am also a big guy and I think m3s are a little on the small side.
I like the fact that m3s get decent mileage but are still fun to drive and have a good amount of power. But i wont have any offroad capability and it might suck in the winter.

Well if you want an M3 I hope you dont want that car in the Picture, because thats no M3
M3's are expensive, fast and very expensive to insure, even some of the older ones(90's), they are not very practical. you already have a fast sporty car, you prob dont need another one.
If you get a Denali your going to run into the same problem as the SS. They are basically the same truck and you cant really off road in them. you can but i bet you wont want to
I would go go with a Chevy or GMC 1500 crew, with the 5.3. They are practical, get decent gas mileage, and will definitely go off road
