What's up, everybody? I've been a lurker for a long time and have learned quite a bit from reading the forum. Built my first SBC around 30+years ago about age 14, my first vehicle was a 69 Chevy truck, followed by a 67 Chevy truck. Currently have a rust bucket 99 ecsb Chevy 4wd affectionately called The Silveraydo and a 2003 ecsb GMC with a 7/9 drop and a few goodies bolted to the 5.3.
Sounds like you caught the gear head bug at an early age like most of us. Show some pictures of your trucks. The condition doesn't matter we like seeing them all.
I posted a few pics in the thread on the Show n Shine board but here's one of Black Betty.
Here's the Silveraydo. Almost 300k and I used it to pull my dad's dump truck with a load of dirt last week. I don't think the trans is gonna last much longer. Lol.
Thanks for sharing. Black Betty looks like a really nice truck. Nice bike too. If Silveraydo survived hauling a dump truck at near 300k it ought to have at least another 300k in it.
Sounds like you're at a crossroad and need to do some soul-searching. Tough decision to make. That's one where you sit down and think, do I get enough enjoyment out of the Harley to keep it? Do I ride it enough to justify holding onto it for a while?
On the other hand, it's the prime season to sell a bike. That money could help dreams for Black Betty become a reality. This sounds like it could be a thread of its own. There are likely other members that have been in a position like you're in and could offer input.
