Default My brand new 08 silverado

Well i just traded in my gas getter (06 cobalt ss/sc), for a 2008 silverado crew cab with a 4.8. Looking for someone to start the list of mods, looking for cold air (if its worth it), headers, and a catback. What should i do first?

do intake and catback at the same time. It'll feel almost ridiculous the amount of change. and then headers and tune it. U should get quite a bit out of it, specially since its an 08. I personally am all for the cam, Im about to put one in mine

I had an '08 4.8 rental this week while my F150's rearend was getting rebuilt. Those trucks have a ridiculous amout of torque management in the tune file. I thought my 5.4 was bad... What I am getting at is that a tune that just eliminates some torque management will make the truck feel much stronger.

Include a custom tune in your list of mods.

my brother has hp tuners so we got that part covered. would it be a better idea to do just a k&n filter or the whole CAI? the intake pipe looks large enough...

^ and consider a tune. I drove my buddies CC 6.0 and it was just ****** nuts how much better his felt off the line than mine does (his has 20s) I think I REALLY need a tune.

i am planning on doing a custom catback, thinking about 3 dynomax bullets inline, duels out the sides of the rear, as far as CAI, the only ones i have seen is the airraid (something like that), K&N, and SLP's, which is best? (prolly not any differance....)
