I know what your saying, when I had the Predator tune in my truck I had it shifting at 6200rpm before the turbo install. Past 6000 was useless really, but the engine liked to rev, it just fell off after about 58-5900 rpm. I still want it to be able to rev to 5800 so it doesn't upshift to third so early.
Oh ya I forgot, I'm going to get HP Tuners next so I can tune my own stuff after the learning curve is over.
There are worries about the stock valve train on a boosted motor being able to handle it. Maybe Allen's a little gun shy after I smoked my tranny when I first did the turbo install. I did not blame him for that but I did think it would have lasted longer than a month.
To sum it all up I'm not really 100% sure why the shift points are soo conservative.
