I'm just excited to be going back to the track!!
What heater do you have? I have a NX heater new in the package sitting next to my computer. Had for a while just not got around to install it. It may be for sale pretty soon
. Did you put your bottle in th efreezer or cool it down real good before you dropped it off? The guy that fills my bottle lets me drop it off in the morning, they put it in the freezer for a while, then fill it. I'll usually leave it there for 4-5 hours. Always nice and FULL

ok, here's my .02 on this whole subject. Which btw, has really taken off, i like it.
a fast 5.3 stock runs 14.9, until now, i didn't know hemi's were as fast as you guys are showing. Cudo's to you. With real tuning, i imagine they'll be real fast.
now when it comes to comparison, you guys were shittin on us for needing mods to run mid 14's, etc... there's one thing holding us back. the 5.3 doesn't make torque ( power band like 3000-6000), and we don't have half the heads you do.
the hemi heads, from what i've seen are great and flow real well. The 5.3 heads are decent, but nothin special. The displacement advantage you have, is the reason for the torque advantage. ( nothing new there )
chevy's have advantage over dodge's in weight by a few hundred lbs. ( rcsb vs. rcsb )
Dodge has better available gearing in a 2wd application 3.92 vs 3.73 ( but most chevys are 3.42 )
so, we each have our advantage's, with the dodge's winning( stock vs. stock ) i feel. Torque + better gearing= fast
Really impressive times, high 13's on a stock truck, that's damn nice. When aftermarket opens up for you guys, i imagine most hemi's will be faster. Hopefully chevy will step up and put the bigger motor in a rcsb 2wd.
but dollar for dollar, i promise...... chevy will always win. ( but i'm sure you know that )
have fun guys.

I go to the track fairly often and damn you guy's stock hemi trucks are faster than the rt/10 trucks and every unmodded lightning I've ever seen plus every hemi I have out ran. Maybe you should let the rest of you dodge boys know your secret.

Hemi38ram,
Saw your in Jax... lets run 'em sometime. We have pretty similar setups. I'm interested in how it would turn out.
Except for when it freezes in winter....

There are a BUNCH of us Hemi Guys that can back up our statements.... There are also a few of the LS1 guys here on this forum that have seen my Truck run if a disbeliever thou art... I have seen guys in Lightnings and SRT10's that I could beat.. Forget it once the guy's learn how to launch the SRT10's or when the guys in their L's put just a few dollars in their truck.I hear statements like yours all the time but the tune changes quite quickly.. once the light turns green...

I've ran 3 hemi trucks all were 1/2 ton beat 2 of them the other was a rcsb truck and that was close but he got me. I drove a 3/4 ton dodge set up like my truck ecsb and that wouldn't even be a good run for me.My uncle has a totally stock rcsb 5.3 Chevy and my neighbor has a dodge set up the same way, both are 4*4 and my uncle out ran him easily. My neighbor said he couldn't believe it he got out ran like that. All I forgot the dodge has a catback. That's been my experiance with the hemi's. As for the Camaro it has a stock ls6 w/boltons, must be a freak like yours.

I'll race your truck. I live in Fairfax. Let's find a track and meet.
