Thanks for the compliments guys. Drag slicks on some 16" wheels is my next investment I suppose...
Times from that run were:
60ft 2.427
584ft 8.489
1/8et 9.028
1/8mph 83.59
The best run from my 5.3 was around an 8.9, but at only 78ish

Nice runs. Mud tires have crappy traction at the track.
About your 4x4 launch, how do your cv angles look? I'm guessing they're a bit severe. Under load(launch) they are gonna try to "straighten" themselves, and that will try to lift a tire. Try lowering your torsion bars for the track. Also, if your suspension is cranked up, and you don't have enough down-travel, you can lose traction when the suspension "tops out" (opposite of bottom-out). Just a few little suspension adjustments will help you move out. Don't be scared of the 4x4 launch!!
I almost forgot, after you lower the torsion bars, bust out the tape measure and get your toe-in as close to zero as possible. Then put everything back where it was before you drive home.

CV angles arent that bad, slightly angled, but I have seen far worse.
What do you think about limiting straps and tie-rod sleeves? I dont really want to have to get an alignment after every time I go to the track.

It was much more dramatic behind the wheel, but one of front wheels lost traction and pulled hard to the other side almost putting me into the wall....the lights are screwed because I drove past it on the way up
I am wondering if limiting straps and tie rod sleeves would help. All of you other 4wd guys take off perfectly straight, im jealous.

The only thing you're going to do to fix it is buy a bigger lift kit and crank it way down so you have negative CV and tie rod angles. Limiting straps might help a little but I dont think they will fix your problem. On LiftedLQ9s he had bolts to limit droop at the track and it didnt really do anything.
See the front tires are toed way in here, Im sure yours looks just like that.

atomic i got a friend who has a diesel powered regular cab long wheel base, he has straps on his front end, he swears they work well, something about keeps it straight and from wanting to lift.. i know he adjusts them each time he runs, he mentioned the tighter the better.. just thought i would pass it on since you mentioned them

Jarrett (Stock48) strapped his front suspension during his 9 second runs. So does Chase (2004SSS) on his SS. I think Bill (trevor1t) also might of looked into it but not sure if he actually did it.

Put some street tires on your stockers and launch in 4 wheel is the only way your going to get a good time.
Also just mark the threads on your T bar bolts to save from alignment issues.
Make sure you take weight off the front end when lraising or lowering your Tbar bolts because they are prone to stripping, ask me how.
Your truck is pretty damn strong and sounds good! Id be very happy!
You think 4x4 launch is scary try it in a 7000# CC Duramax with 1000 + RWTQ
