Those u-joints didn't look like good ones to me. They looked like cheapo greaseables.....

I agree 100%. Driveshaft met its "critical speed" and took a **** on everything.

For big power, I use Spicer non-greaseable u-joints. The cross is made of better metal, and greaseable u-joints are hollow(weaker). They also use smaller needle bearings, and have lower quality grease seals. They do break alot easier.

If you pull the caps off most of those non-greaseable u-joints, they still have the cross holes drilled in them...

man that sucks i know exactly how you feel.. mine let loose about 130 and the yoke was still in the trans and everything just like yours... its a horrible sound but luckly mine only broke my tcase adpater plate so it didnt take out the trans.

from those pictures its hard to tell since everything is so skint up but it makes me wonder if it was a ujoint failure and that started the whole shebang

Yah no telling what went first, but I blame the driveshaft myself, after talking to ScottA about his and all the critical speed stuff it makes sense, I'ma just make my new one out of 2" oil field drilling pipe lol
