Default Cammed Denali first start. 222/226

Hey Guys,

I popped my cam cherry this weekend and put in a Patrick G custom 222/226 on a 114. Here is a quick video of the initial start up.

I was going to install a TBSS intake at the same time with the larger injectors, but I ran into some issues trying to get all the sensors in the new intake... pain in the ***. Long story short I'm still running stock injectors and cant rip on it just yet.

Let me know what you guys think!

EDIT:
I have an updated Idle after its tune I am posting here for newbies to the thread. Its also on the 2nd page.

Thanks! I wanted to keep it mild but make sure you could tell it was there. I can't wait to rip on it!

Sounds great. What kind of numbers are you expecting to pull?

I don't really know where I expect it to be on the dyno, but once I get the stall in there I'm hoping for a sub 13.5 at 99+. It should put me in tuned TBSS territory. I never really planned to strap it down since its AWD and I dont know who has a big enough AWD dyno around here.

That sounds really nice!
Do you plan to get it all done and test it at the dragway before the season ends?

same cam I've been running for 2 years on the lq9. Very, very mild, but perfect for an all around DD and simple to tune. Mine drives just like stock in every way, except for the power increase (duh)

I definitely plan on testing it at the dragway before the season is out! I doubt I'll have a converter in by then though. It will be interesting to see where cam only gets me... I hope I can break into the 13's, but I dont know if I'll be able to

You have a similar cam in your truck? Thats great to hear. I am still working on the WOT tune and there is a ton of work still to do on it. Where did you notice the biggest power increases and what size stall do you run? Where do you shift yours? To be honest I kind of expected to lose more off the bottom and pick up more of a mid range hit, but like i said, theres still a lot of work to do with the tune.
