That looks like a choke stove pipe on some older carbuerated vehicles. What year/model truck is that off of?

That pipe is usually hooked to a tube that runs up to the air filter/carbuerator choke to help choke operation in cold weather.

I MIGHT have one if it's for a 4.3L but, that manifold looks strange compared to what I remember.

Default hello

The manifold is off a 93 s10 2.5l 4 banger. found out looking through my part book that it is a heat stove type pipe, proberly won't be going back on because its on the heat shield and for some reason the heatshield is spot welded together and to the manifold.

Still haven't got around to taking it off still have to pick up some bolts and looks like one broke off on one of the last owners. looks like its going to be a pain in the ***.

Sounds like fun... I just watched another member on this site's old man drill out the studs from an exhaust manifold on an older f350... Might not be as bad for you considering you'll have more room to work with.

Good deal! Yeah, post up a pic. Kinda strange to see stainless manifolds on a GM but, everyonce in a while I guess they do that.
